TFE Hotels is expanding its footprint in New Zealand and we’re searching for an experienced and dynamic, hands-on leader to step into the role of Director of Sales & Marketing – New Zealand, based in Auckland.

This is a new opportunity to take full ownership of how our brands — including Adina, Travelodge, and Rendezvous — are represented in the market and connect with guests, clients, and partners.

About the role:

Working closely with our hotel General Managers, Revenue teams, and global network, you’ll be the driving force behind our go-to-market strategy in New Zealand. If you are a natural leader with strong market knowledge, a passion for brand storytelling, and the ability to inspire teams to deliver results, this is your opportunity to shape the future of TFE Hotels in New Zealand.

Reporting to the Director of Operations New Zealand and a dotted line to the Global Sales and Global Marketing Officers, you’ll be responsible for driving growth across corporate, government, MICE, leisure, and group segments while leading a motivated sales and marketing team.

This role blends strategy with action — you’ll be in the market building relationships, leading major campaigns, securing key partnerships, and delivering initiatives that fuel brand visibility and drive revenue.

More about you:

  • Solid understanding of hotel financial, segmentation and performance reporting
  • You have experience in a similar role within a full-service hotel or group of hotels
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing or a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a senior role such as ‘Senior Manager’ or ‘Head of
  • You are agile and have the ability to respond to market situations
  • Good understanding of hotel operations
  • As a Leader, you are collaborative in nature and are able to manage multiple stakeholders
  • You are creative and have a good eye for detail
  • You are a confident and effective communicator, skilled in delivering presentations across a variety of forums, audiences and stakeholder groups
  • Full permanent working rights for New Zealand (essential)
