What You'll Be Doing
- Lead strategic planning and implementation of HSW initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on HSW critical risk management, compliance, and contractor safety.
- Deliver training and coaching to uplift HSW capability across the group.
- Promote cultural confidence and alignment with Ngāi Tahu values.
- Ensure robust reporting and continuous improvement in HSW systems and processes.
- Champion wellbeing programs and emergency preparedness.
- A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety (Level 6+ preferred).
- Proven experience in HSW advisory roles, ideally within Māori or similar organizations.
- Strong knowledge of NZ HSW legislation and best practice.
- Cultural competency and a desire to embrace te reo Māori and tikanga.
- Confidence, pragmatism, and a collaborative mindset.
- A commitment to Ngāi Tahu's quadruple bottom line: cultural, social, environmental, and commercial success.
