About the opportunity:
HEB Construction have a number of exciting projects on the horizon which has created opportunities for an experienced Contracts Manager to work us, with a particular focus on heavy civil construction in the Bay of Plenty (office near Papamoa/The Mount).
The role:
In this role, you'll be responsible for the overall direction and performance of projects in Otago. You could be working across a number of different projects, ranging from major general civil construction to 3 waters/drainage and pavements to land development etc. These projects can range from $1 million to tens of millions in value.
The Candidate
What we are looking for:
- Experience in major infrastructure works at a senior level - in particular within civil engineering / construction
- Strong people management skills - managing and directing large high performing teams to achieve their best.
- Excellent commercial acumen - ensuring our projects run to cost and are profitable
- Exceptional planning skills - the ability to ensure multiple tasks are running to time across one or more projects.
- Demonstratable experience in dealing with key stakeholders - clients, safety & environment regulators, Iwi groups and more.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring everyone on site goes home safe everyday.
