We are seeking a Pouhere Tāngata – Māori Strategy Business Partner to lead and support the integration of Kia Rere, our Māori strategy across Rangiata Sky. This role will embed Māori perspectives into business planning, people practices, and organisational design. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and the People team to implement Ngā Taumata o Rangiata, Sky’s cultural competency framework, and help bring Kia Rere, our Māori strategy, to life.

Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed a Māori worldview across people systems by leading the implementation of Ngā Taumata o Rangiata and integrating te ao Māori into HR policies, processes, and organisational design.
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive Māori outcomes in business planning and reporting, ensuring alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and fostering inclusive practices.
  • Strengthen cultural capability by advising on training, coaching leaders, and supporting the development of learning pathways for all employees.
  • Support equitable recruitment and workforce engagement through culturally led talent strategies, organisational change, and inclusive procurement practices.
  • Lead people-related change initiatives and projects with a focus on cultural competency, legal compliance, and effective communication to realise measurable impact.

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO I WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

  • Deep understanding of te reo and tikanga Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Proven experience in a senior advisory role and change management, ideally in media or a related industry.
  • Strong strategic leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with Māori organisations and communities including whānau, hapū, and iwi.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
