We are now looking for a Service Technician to join our National Service Centre in Auckland NZ.

Reporting to the Service and Operations Supervisor NZ, you will repair equipment within set turnaround times and achieve quality levels to meet our current business objectives. This role will also involve communicating with both external and internal customers. You will be required to maintain tools and your work environment to the 5S principles. The role will also involve utilizing SAP and completing weekly reporting.

This role will suit individuals with a strong technical aptitude, experience in electrical repairs and fine detailed technical repair work.

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide Endoscope service / repair support for varying levels repairs to customers and assets in line with the skills matrix.
  • To provide accurate assessment of Customer Equipment and Olympus Assets sent for repair.
  • To carry out scope reprocessing as required - flexible, rigid and peripheral.
  • To complete final quality assurance on work of other technicians as required.
  • To communicate with the Service Administrator - where customer expectation may differ from assessment findings.

What we are looking for:

To be considered, you must have experience in fine detailed repairs, including:

  • Strong soldering skills and experience
  • Binding experience
  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Electrical repair experience
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in fine detail repairs

You will also be committed to delivering a high standard of work and have a continuous improvement mindset.

To set you up for success your initial training will be completed in Melbourne, Australia. This will require flexibility with traveling for periods of up to 1 month at a time.
