About the role:
As a Change Manager, you’ll play a key role in bridging strategy and execution, especially in contexts like operational excellence, safety, digital systems, and customer experience that support Northpower’s growth ambitions. Working alongside our Operational Excellence and Digital teams, you’ll:

We are one of the largest multi-utility contractors in New Zealand, servicing the needs of clients in transmission, distribution, generation, fibre, renewables, and commercial sectors. About the role:
As a Change Manager, you’ll play a key role in bridging strategy and execution, especially in contexts like operational excellence, safety, digital systems, and customer experience that support Northpower’s growth ambitions. Working alongside our Operational Excellence and Digital teams, you’ll:
- Lead and drive change management strategies across various initiatives.
- Partner with business units to assess change impact and readiness.
- Create and execute communication and engagement plans.
- Coach leaders and teams to build internal change capability.
- This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, the ability to influence at all levels, and a deep understanding of how people navigate and adapt to change.
- 5+ years' experience in change management, ideally in medium – large scale transformations.
- Formal qualifications in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI, LEAN Change Management)
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams in a fast-paced environment with hybrid workforces — office-based and field-based staff
- Experience with utilities, contracting, field services, or regulated industries will be preferred.
- Experience in Agile or DevOps transformations is desirable
