On the Coast our roading teams help to keep our transport routes functioning; we manage, install, and repair water, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure; and we maintain our Districts’ parks, gardens, playgrounds, and reserves. We have developed an extensive working knowledge of the area and have developed strong relationships with our customers, clients, and suppliers.

Reporting to our Finance Manager, this is a vital role in our Finance Team. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports
- Prepare and review all Job Costing reports
- Prepare all journals and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Support Cashflow forecasting
- Develop and strengthen internal controls, systems, and financial processes
- Asset Management including Plant Utilisation reporting and setting up of all new assets
- Manage stock reporting
- Ensure compliance with GST and other statutory obligations
- Provide financial analysis and modelling for business cases
- Prepare Monthly Finance Board Reports
- Attend Board Meetings when required
- Contribute to budgeting process
- Ad hoc reporting as required
- Assist FM with preparation of Statutory accounts and disclosure notes
- Answer queries from auditors and prepare supporting information
- Internal auditing of financial processes and systems

- Be an office champion of all things IT related
- Continually review processes and systems to ensure best practises are being used
- Help team members troubleshoot problems
- Assist when necessary other functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cashbook and Payroll
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- 5+ plus years experience in an Accounting Role (essential)
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified or part-qualified (essential)
- Excellent Excel proficiency (essential)
- Experience working in the construction industry (preferred)
- Experience with Accredo software (preferred)
- Experience preparing statutory accounts (preferred)
