About The Role
We have a permanent, part-time opportunity available to join our team as the Lakes National Travel Assistance (NTA), Community Transport and Paimarie Accommodation Coordinator.
The National Travel Assistance (NTA) scheme assists people needing to access specialist health care, who need to travel long distances or travel frequently, by contributing to their travel and accommodation costs.
Role
The primary purpose for this role is to administer the Health NZ National Travel Assistance policy for the Lakes District, and to oversee, develop and maintain systems that support the efficient delivery of the NTA services for the Lakes community. Key tasks for this role will include:

Role
The primary purpose for this role is to administer the Health NZ National Travel Assistance policy for the Lakes District, and to oversee, develop and maintain systems that support the efficient delivery of the NTA services for the Lakes community. Key tasks for this role will include:
- Providing guidance around the eligibility and entitlement criteria for NTA to eligible Lakes patients and the Lakes Hospital departments and teams
- Coordinating patient travel and accommodation assistance for eligible patients
- Oversee and manage the utilisation of the Paimarie onsite accommodation units

About You
You will be an experienced administrator who has
- Experience in planning, development and prioritising to meet changing needs
- Experience in quality improvement processes and systems
- Experience in managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Data analysis and report writing skills
- Numeric and cash handling skills
- Confidence using Excel, Word and Outlook with an ability to learn new systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks ensuring completion in a timely manner
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- A proactive and self-motivated mindset and a high level of initiative
