Wage/Salary- $44.50/hour – you will need to specify a range if you wish to offer more than $44.50/hour

Position – Vehicle Painter and Supervisor

Platinum Accident Repair Centre require an Experienced Spray Painting Supervisor for our busy vehicle refinishing department.

We are driven to supply our customers with the best finish very time and you will be an integral part of making this happen.

You will be required to work 40 hours/week. You may be requested to provide a clean police record.

Qualification/Work Experience

To be successful you must have relevant work experience of at least 3 years. Must have at least two years of experience of working with PPG water-based products. Must be able to supervise a team.

Your daily tasks will include-

• removing rough spots on vehicle panels

• sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders

• masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper

• colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint

• applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats

• touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles

• removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork

• painting signs and artwork on vehicles

• treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals

You must be a New Zealand Citizen/ Resident or on a Valid Visa and able to work full time.
