About This Team
You’ll join Technology & Transformation in Auckland or Wellington as a Director. Our clients are looking to deliver greater value and innovation on a continuous basis, going beyond traditional projects and conventional outsourcing models. We are well positioned to be a strategic partner of choice – supporting our clients to run and transform their businesses through innovative service delivery.
Deloitte has a broad and long-standing technology practice, spanning many technologies including SAP, Oracle, AWS, Azure, Salesforce and ServiceNow. We implement, maintain and enhance technology across a wide range of public and private sector clients.
You will be a key practice leader driving end-to-end delivery excellence and innovation across our technology operate engagements – from winning work through mobilisation to successful execution.
Technology operate service delivery is a growing part of Deloitte’s work in NZ and globally. It involves a comprehensive approach to ongoing management and enhancement of our clients’ technology systems and processes. The focus is on ensuring that services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with client requirements, strategic direction and industry best practices. This includes Application Management Services (AMS) and IT infrastructure, cloud services, integrations, data, monitoring and cyber-security.

Job Description
Your typical day will include:
- Drive Operate service delivery excellence across existing and new engagements through global and local methods and tools, training and other related ways of working.
- Tailor and deploy new frameworks & tools across our engagements to take advantage of innovation, quality and efficiency gains.
- Regularly assess service delivery performance across engagements and provide practical recommendations to help improve maturity, performance and profitability whilst reducing risk.
- Facilitate effective sharing of lessons learnt and other feedback loops, as part of continuously improving our operate service delivery performance.
- Work closely with a range of Deloitte teams as a subject matter expert to help develop strong value propositions for our clients, including operational and commercial perspectives.
- Support planning and mobilisation of complex new engagements.
- Coach and develop our core operate team and the wider operate community across Technology & Transformation.
- Actively participate in regular global and local forums with a focus on leveraging best practices from other regions, collaborating on off-shore delivery opportunities, and contributing achievements from NZ.
- Collaborate with Partners and other Directors as part of the Technology & Transformation leadership team.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- At least 10 years of experience of large-scale multi-technology operate engagement leadership and management, involving service delivery management, improvement and innovation.
- Delivery leadership and management experience with a number of technology products and platforms such as SAP, Oracle, AWS, Azure, Salesforce and ServiceNow.
- Successful track record across the managed services life cycle including sales, operations and account management.
- Experience leading internal practice development, preferably in a professional services context.
- Experience working in multi-national organisations with use of off-shore delivery centres preferred.
