The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Work as a key member of the senior leadership team of FundRock NZ.
- Responsible for the overall relationship management function of FundRock NZ, delivering this either directly or with the support of a team who may report directly or indirectly to this role.
- Manage relationships with our broad range of investment manager clients and prospects.
- Develop, implement and manage service level agreements with our investment managers
- Management of regular client communications, ad hoc presentations and events, and the FundRock NZ website
- Embed the use of Salesforce as a key tool in the overall relationship management and prospecting framework
- Manage the FundRock NZ sales pipeline, working closely with the General Manager and Product Development Manager
- Contribute to driving sales in accordance with the agreed business plan
- Assist in the negotiation and management of commercial terms for investment managers alongside the General Manager.
- Contribute to the development of the annual FundRock NZ business plan and budgets
- Assist with the development of the brand and marketing strategy for FundRock NZ
- Contribute to Board and management papers and reporting, as applicable
- Responsible for identifying and helping implement process improvements within our investment product and operations areas.
The following skills are considered desirable to carry out this role effectively:
Experience and Knowledge
- 7+ years’ experience as a senior executive within the financial services environment;
- Experience in managing business to business relationships.
- The ability to persuade, influence and negotiate desired outcomes with credibility in the B2B financial markets environment;
- Good understanding and keen interest in NZ’s investment management industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal forms.
- Experience with having to be 100% accurate with documentation and reporting.
- Exposure to business strategy, business process development, governance processes, management, budgeting, and administrative operations is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated learning agility.
- Passionate about investments and wanting a long-term career in this industry.
- Pro-active individual who takes ownership and responsibility autonomously.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to think innovatively and embrace change.
