Job Description: We’re looking for a talented Thai Cook to join our team at Thai restaurant in Auckland

This job is required to perform: (specific duty tasks)

• Work with other chefs, cooks and other food preparation workers
• Preparing and cooking all food that is required for the day and planning ahead where possible
• Monitor and report stock and inventory above the minimum required level
• Cooking meals as they are ordered, preparing, presenting and plating meals to standards
• Preparing and cooking suitable foods in advance for freezing
• Ensuring the kitchen is kept in a clean and tidy state
• Keep workstation clean and tidy throughout the day
• Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
• Check supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Work to minimise food wastage and raw material expiry to meet budgeted food cost targets

Experience and Qualification Required:

• At least 2 years of experience working at a Thai restaurant OR
• At least New Zealand Diploma level 5 in cookery or Culinary OR
• At least bachelor’s degree in any discipline with relevant experience working at a Thai restaurant AND
• Have knowledge at Thai cuisine
• Know basic of traditional Thai ingredients and Thai herbs
• Have good communication in English
• Ability to manage multiple orders and work efficiently under pressure
