Our Merchandise team works with supplier partners and store teams on category ranging, buying, pricing and promotions so we can get the right products on the right shelves at the right time for our customers.
Te Tūranga – About The Role
As Category Manager – Butchery , you’ll play a pivotal role in the daily planning and execution of supply to stores. This includes order management, supplier performance, and acting as a key contact for our store teams.
Working in a collaborative and fast-paced category team, you’ll ensure products flow seamlessly and help drive sales growth across our butchery categories.

Te Tūranga – About The Role
As Category Manager – Butchery , you’ll play a pivotal role in the daily planning and execution of supply to stores. This includes order management, supplier performance, and acting as a key contact for our store teams.
Working in a collaborative and fast-paced category team, you’ll ensure products flow seamlessly and help drive sales growth across our butchery categories.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Executing the daily supply plan including product allocation and order processing
- Acting as the key contact for store queries and commercial supply solutions
- Working closely with Supply Chain, DCs, and logistics partners to optimise inventory and reduce inefficiencies
- Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance
- Contributing to growth, pricing, category performance and promotional planning
- Support other category and team initiatives or projects as required

We’re looking for someone who’s commercially savvy, operationally sharp, and a great team player.
You’ll Ideally Bring
- Experience in FMCG or Meat (not essential)
- Strong procurement planning, supply chain, or demand forecasting
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working large datasets
- Understanding of logistics and distribution processes
- A collaborative and adaptable working style
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfort with early starts, and confidence in supplier and store engagement
