About The Project
The Ōtaki to North of Levin (Ō2NL) highway will significantly improve safety, resilience, and transport choice in the region. Delivered in partnership with Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council, this project will create lasting benefits for the local community and environment.
Ō2NL is being delivered under a two-alliance model involving Downer, McConnell Dowell, Beca, Tonkin + Taylor, Fulton Hogan, HEB, WSP, Aurecon, and Goodman Contractors Limited. Together, we’re committed to delivering a project that respects the whenua and builds a legacy for generations to come.
About The Role
We are currently looking for a Document Controller to support the Owner Interface Management (OIM) team on the Ō2NL project. This role is essential in managing and maintaining the integrity and accessibility of project documentation across digital platforms.
Reporting to the Digital Lead (OT), you’ll work within the Information & Data Management team to ensure project information is controlled, compliant, and ready for handover. You’ll act as the go-to expert for systems like Aconex, SharePoint, Synergy, and ProjectWise—ensuring teams can access and manage documentation efficiently and accurately.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong digital skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for organisation and collaboration.

Some Of Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing digital documentation processes across Aconex and other platforms.
- Supporting document version control, security, and transmission workflows.
- Assisting with compliance requirements including ISO 19650 and project-specific standards.
- Training and supporting project teams on document management systems.
- Ensuring alignment between systems, processes, and project milestones.
- Working collaboratively with design, engineering, and construction teams.
- Contributing to audits, quality checks, and system improvements.
- At least 5 years’ experience in document control on major infrastructure or engineering projects.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital platforms like SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of systems such as Aconex, Synergy, and ProjectWise.
- Understanding of document control compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment.
- Qualification in Records & Information or Business Administration.
- ISO 19650 practitioner certification.
