Kōrero mō te Tūranga | About the Role

In this role you’ll be working with a range of people, external stakeholders and internal project teams, to deliver the best outcomes for our community. You’ll be supporting the delivery of various projects within the Rivers team, getting involved in communications and engagement activities, and assisting staff with various administrative tasks. No two days will truly be the same and the right candidate will test their multi-tasking and organisational skills while championing clear and effective communication with stakeholders across the board.

Mōu │ About You

Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in project management/business/management or associated disciplines alongside over three years of practical experience in project delivery, budget and risk management, administrative support, and a strong interest in working with Canterbury rivers.

You’ll be great at prioritising your workload, efficiently delivering outputs, and able to apply best practice project and systems management to your work.

Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience

Previous experience supporting delivery of complex programmes of work with construction and consenting elements would be an advantage.

Hours of work – Permanent full-time position - From time to time, as required, the role may require work outside of normal work hours for emergency and flood response and to represent Environment Canterbury at meetings and events with partners, other agencies, and the community.

Location  - This position is predominantly based at 200 Tuam Street, Christchurch  

Salary - The indictive salary range for role is $76,000 to $90,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. The specific salary will be discussed at interview stage.
