Permanent 40 hours per week (1 FTE)

Are you passionate about empowering whānau and transforming health outcomes in our communities? Do you thrive in a role that combines clinical care, community outreach, and interagency collaboration? If so, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled clinician who will play a vital role in addressing unmet health needs for priority populations and communities facing barriers to health services.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver accessible, community-based healthcare via outreach clinics designed for priority populations.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments that address physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

  • Provide direct clinical care or coordinate swift referrals to health and social services.

  • Use a health promotion and whānau-centered approach to empower long-term wellbeing and lifestyle change.

About you

  • A current NZ Nursing registration and practicing certificate.

  • Experience in community, primary, or public health settings (or a strong interest in moving into this space).

  • A commitment to equity and culturally responsive care, especially for Māori and Pacific communities.

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • A collaborative spirit—someone who builds trust with whānau, community providers, and across sectors.

  • Familiarity with (or willingness to learn about) Gateway Assessments, Oranga Tamariki systems, and working with vulnerable youth.

  • A clean, full driver's licence and flexibility to travel for outreach clinics.

Where required, additional training and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
