We are thrilled to announce an opportunity in our Card Issuing Team, to help us continue delivering enhancements and features.

In this role, you will become an integral part of our dedicated Card Issuing team, utilising your valuable expertise to ensure a harmonious blend of stewardship and innovation.

As the Senior Technical Analyst within the squad, you will have the opportunity to showcase your technical leadership and extensive knowledge. Your responsibilities will include spearheading and overseeing tasks aimed at propelling continuous improvement of Kiwibank's card infrastructure and services.

Key skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Technical analysis skills including writing technical requirements and producing technical requirements and specs form business requirements
  • Designing and specifying containerised applications
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, to design, review and align on new solution designs
  • Leading initiatives from Concept to Implementation
  • Software delivery life cycle from build to prod deployment
  • Solid experience working in agile environments
  • Solid experience managing production Application Maintenance
  • Be available to join an on-call roster


Bonus (not essential but advantageous to have):

  • Experience working with P1C (Base Global)
  • Experience with card cryptography
  • SQL Database Experience
  • Identifies obvious deficiencies in processes and supports activities to improve them
  • Considers metrics and uses appropriate services to check quality levels
  • Having a good understanding of best practice for release management
  • Ability to jump in and be flexible
  • Ability to contribute to CX and UX design
