Responsibilities/Description
- Guide and direct warehouse operators to manage day to day activities for inbound/outbound shipments
- Manage and grow team
- Organize specific transport (products return, between customers for non-divisional products, for semi-finish products or raw materials)
- Manage any customer logistics requirements (via Customer Service, other internal departments) and follow up with required action for response to resolve issues providing excellent service level to customers (internal and external).
- Facilitate rush orders preparation outside standard pick/pack time with different departments
- Investigate root cause and provide correctives actions on logistics complaints as per service level agreement and closely liaise with the customer service team who will engage directly with the customer
- Look after OHS onsite - continuous improvement for safety, including safety walks and reporting
- Continuous improvement opportunities for logistics (both service and costs)
- Perform weekly/monthly checks on several open items like orders, shipment cost, goods issue, billing of intercompany shipments; making sure all transactions are timely done.
- Create purchase requisitions for documentation and transportation costs
- Participate in calls/meetings with internal-external stakeholders
- Responsible for SOX compliance.
- Responsible for implementing new logistics processes.
- Maintains continuous interface with warehouse(s) to ensure efficient operations and resolution of problems.
- +7 years' experience with shipping and receiving in a manufacturing, distribution or continuous processing environment.
- Experience with or ability to learn an automated inventory management system
- Experience in direct people management
- Knowledge of Warehouse Procedures in a food or pharma environment
- Knowledge of transportation (types, carriers, rules, incoterms).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Fluent business English communication skills
- Fluent business local language communication skills
- Proficient ERP skills across full supply functional horizon.
- Ability to operate in a warehouse environment and storage facility 100% of the time
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations
- SAP WMS function training
- Sales Force (SFDC) training
- Oflow training
