General Manager Sustainability

SkyCity is seeking a dynamic General Manager Sustainability to own, drive, and reset our sustainability strategy. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll be responsible for embedding sustainability across our operations, aligning with national and international climate standards, and building a robust compliance program that supports our ESG commitments.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

• Lead the development and execution of SkyCity's sustainability and community strategies.
• Drive alignment with NZ Climate Standards, including Climate-related Disclosures (CRDs), Toitū, SBTi, and ESG frameworks.
• Build and implement a comprehensive compliance program that integrates sustainability into governance, risk, and operational practices.
• Engage with Iwi, community partners, NGOs, and Government to foster inclusive, impactful sustainability initiatives.
• Influence at the highest levels—presenting to the Board, SLT, and external stakeholders.
• Champion innovation, decarbonisation, and circular economy initiatives across the business.

• Proven experience in leading sustainability strategy in large or complex organisations.
• Deep understanding of climate-related standards, ESG reporting, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
• Experience working with Māori, iwi, and diverse community groups.
• A passion for driving meaningful change and building trust through sustainable impact.
