MŌ TE TŪRANGA | About the position

We’re looking for a friendly, organised administrator to join our team in a part-time Operations Support role.


This role supports the smooth day-to-day running of SociaLink’s operations and helps ensure our team and services are well supported. You’ll be based at The Kollective on 17th Ave, with the flexibility to work from home at times. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a values-driven, passionate team making a difference in our local community.


You’ll also support our Learning & Development team by helping with the setup, catering and pack-down of training workshops held at The Kollective and occasionally at other venues.


While we offer a flexible working environment, there are some fixed commitments. You’ll need to be available for Board meetings, the AGM, team meetings, and training workshops as needed. Board meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of the month from 1.00 - 4.00pm, approximately seven times a year.


Provide general administration and team support, including arranging meetings, interviews, booking venues or meeting rooms, and organising catering.

● Support the Board of Trustees, including preparing agendas and board packs, taking minutes, and distributing documentation to Board members.

● Assist with organising team and social functions or events, and participate as needed.

● Provide basic support with Infoodle (our CRM system).

● Assist with formatting and design of documents such as reports and PowerPoint presentations using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar tools.

● Be willing to pitch in with a wide range of tasks and apply practical problem-solving skills.


NGĀ PŪMANAWATANGA ŌU | About you

● Experience working in operations/administration/support positions. Agenda preparation and minute taking skills would be an advantage but not essential.

● System and process savvy and confident in learning and using a wide range of systems and software - ie, Board Pro, MS365 Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, Canva and Infoodle (CRM).

● Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for working with a range of people.

● You have an understanding of Te Ao Māori, te Tiriti o Waitangi and the needs of community based social services. An interest in and openness to learning about te reo Māori and tikanga is essential.

● The ability to plan, organise and prioritise and use your initiative to work autonomously and improve processes.
