Inventory and Purchasing Manager

UCC Coffee Australia & New Zealand

Date: 7 hours ago
City: Auckland, Auckland
Contract type: Full time
Looking for a role where you can take ownership, build momentum, and bring structure to complexity? As our Inventory & Purchasing Manager, you’ll lead the management of inventory and purchasing across our network on purchased coffee products, espresso machinery and spare parts.

This is a role with reach. You’ll have exposure across procurement, warehousing, sales, service, and supply chain planning - and the autonomy to influence supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.

If you're ready for something new and want to make your mark in a fast-moving, hands-on environment, this is your chance.

Your Focus

  • Lead the flow of inventory across warehouses, 3PL distribution centres, and service vehicles
  • Own monthly inventory planning, reporting, and forecasting aligned with working capital and Stock targets
  • Run quarterly supplier reviews for local supplier against defined KPIs (and help develop the ones we don’t yet have in place)
  • Drive accuracy through stocktake and cycle count processes, and manage stock transfer, returns, and reconciliation across systems
  • Improve data integrity and master data processes in our ERP system (JD Edwards)
  • Own transactional procurement - raising POs, managing vendor relationships, and challenging suppliers to lift performance
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across sales, warehouse, and service to streamline inventory and SKU accuracy
  • Coach and develop a small direct team - driving standards, accountability, and engagement

About You

You bring with you approx. 3 years’ experience in inventory and/or supply planning, with a solid grasp of stock control, ERP systems, and end-to-end supply chain fundamentals. You’re confident managing supplier relationships, running cycle counts, and driving stock accuracy through process.

You see inventory as more than stock on shelves - it’s a critical link between customer experience, commercial performance, and operational flow. You understand how supply decisions affect cashflow, availability, and, ultimately, our ability to deliver on what we promise.

Analytical and commercially minded, you don’t just report on the numbers - you act on what they mean. You’re ready to step into something new, keen to learn, and confident working across teams. Even when others may not share your technical insight, you step up - sharing knowledge, educating on the ‘why,’ and influencing best practice decisions.

If you thrive on untangling complexity, creating structure where others see noise, and building strong partnerships across sales, service, and warehousing.

We’re looking for someone who brings momentum from day one - curious, hands-on, and ready to take ownership. This is a role for doers. Think it. Test it. Action it.

Why join us?

At UCC Coffee, we’re small enough that your work will stand out, and big enough that it will stretch across the region. This role offers real ownership with suppliers, visibility across multiple teams, and unparalleled learning opportunities in a business that puts the customer at the centre of everything we do.

You’ll help shape the way inventory supports growth - with the tools, trust, and team to make it happen.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Auckland office, with hybrid flexibility and great coffee always within reach.
