United Civil Construction is offering an exciting entry-level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual keen to begin or grow their career in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE).

Your role will include:

  • Coordinating HSQE documentation and maintaining vital records for incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Assisting with internal audits, site inspections, and verification activities.
    Supporting the administration of incident management, including documentation and follow-ups.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of our ISO accreditation (9001, 14001 and 45001).
  • Supporting the prequalification process (e.g. Sitewise, NZTA and other client related requirements)
  • Preparing insightful reports and dashboards, assisting with data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborating with team members on projects, inductions, and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Assisting with project safety documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and toolbox communications.
  • Spending time in the field assisting with audits and actively engaging with the team.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a keen interest in building a career in HSQE, particularly within the construction industry.
  • Has a level 4 certificate in Health and Safety or similar – preferred
  • Has experience working in a high-risk environment – preferred
  • Possesses strong computer literacy skills (familiarity with Visio or Promapp would be great, but training is provided!).
  • Good time management, organisation and administrative skills.
  • Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and is eager to learn from experienced team members.
  • Holds a current clean driver’s license.
