Electrical Engineering Technician

Horizon Packaging Solutions Limited is a New Zealand-based manufacturer specializing in high-quality honey packaging and processing solutions for both local and international markets. We are committed to maintaining advanced manufacturing standards and ensuring food safety compliance through reliable and innovative technologies.

To support our growing operations, we are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our technical and maintenance team at our honey processing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, installation, and testing of electrical and electronic equipment used in our honey processing and packaging lines

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime

• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems including sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and automation equipment

• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for installation and maintenance tasks

• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve energy efficiency and safety across the facility

• Ensure all electrical work complies with New Zealand standards and workplace safety regulations

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and modifications carried out on equipment

Skills and Experience Required:

• At least a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4，or

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the industry or in a similar role.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in electrical systems and automation

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and compliance requirements
