What you will be doing

Reporting to the Head of Transformation & Process Excellence, you'll support teams within Transformation Office (TMO) and contribute to the ongoing success of Tower by facilitating a strong risk management environment underpinned by a positive risk culture.

You'll also have a dotted reporting line up to the Chief Digital and Data Officer and be a key contributor to the Tower Risk Community, ensuring alignment with Tower's Frameworks and Policies and supporting an enterprise-wide approach.

Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technology department, to identify and manage key risks and obligations while enabling Tower's purpose to inspire, shape and protect the future for the good of our customers and communities.
  • Be adept at influencing and engaging the business in well-informed and customer focussed decision-making with a focus on outcomes.
  • Be a specialist adviser to the entire leadership group and a key member of the broader Transformation Office and Technology Business Unit and Tower Risk Community.
  • Support robust risk management for usual business activities and for project and change initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • 7+ years' experience in risk, compliance, assurance, or legal roles within financial services, with demonstrated experience in delivery and technology risk domains.
  • Experience in product management or deliver leadership would be considered favourably.
  • Experience partnering or working alongside the business teams to uplift processes and risk and control maturity.
  • Proven capability with data analytics and deriving data-led insights through a risk management system or RAID trackers.
  • Experience working in agile transformation programs or digital change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to uplift risk maturity and embed controls in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of delivery and technology risk management, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and assurance processes across agile, digital, and cloud-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of key regulatory regimes as applicable to financial market conduct and consumer protection of the general insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards as they relate to the services, advice and relationship between a financial services business and their customers, specifically in an insurance environment.
  • Significant experience in financial services industry, with general insurance product knowledge an advantage
  • Familiarity with agile delivery, DevOps, and digital transformation risk frameworks.
  • Experience with risk management systems and the ability to derive actionable insights from risk data and analytics.
  • Understanding of emerging technology risks, including AI/ML, data governance, and cyber resilience.
