Te Tūranga – About The Role
Are you ready to shape the digital backbone of one of New Zealand’s most iconic co-operatives? As a Senior SAP Fullstack Developer in our SAP Centre of Excellence, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing smart, scalable SAP solutions that power the core of Foodstuffs North Island’s business—from stores and supply chain to finance and beyond. You'll be working with modern development tools, architectural patterns, and engineering practices to deliver solutions that are reliable, elegant, and high performing.
In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional tech teams to understand needs, build and test solutions, and ensure seamless deployment and support. You’ll be just as comfortable writing clean code as you are reviewing technical designs or jumping in to troubleshoot production issues. And because we believe in owning what we build, you’ll also be part of our on-call roster.

You’re a highly experienced SAP Fullstack Developer with over 7 years’ experience delivering end-to-end SAP solutions that are smart, scalable, and rock solid. You bring a deep understanding of both backend and frontend development—equally comfortable building RAP applications, crafting seamless Fiori UIs, and working with UI fragments as you are optimising backend logic. Whether it’s delivering within the SAP Landscape using UI5, diving into MM, or navigating the nuances of a retail environment, you know how to build solutions that work—and last.
You’ve got a clear DevOps mindset, strong grasp of clean architecture principles (Clean Core is a bonus!), and thrive in agile teams that value continuous delivery, learning, and collaboration. Your communication is just as strong as your coding, and you're always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what SAP can do.

- Designing, developing, and maintaining SAP solutions that meet FSNI’s architecture and development standards
- Collaborating across teams to ensure smooth delivery, handover, and support of new solutions
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, including contributing to estimates and backlog planning
- Performing application analysis, functional testing, and production issue resolution
- Supporting continuous integration, documentation, and technical best practices—while always keeping delivery timeframes in mind

You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of SAP Fullstack development experience with strong hands-on expertise in RAP implementation, ABAP, and Fiori UI development
- Proven experience in building and maintaining UI5 applications, including backend integration, UI fragments, and SAP Cloud Portal
- Solid understanding of Clean Core principles, and nice-to-have experience across SAP MM and retail environments
- A collaborative, agile mindset with experience in Scrum, XP, or Lean, and exposure to tools like JIRA and CI/CD pipelines
- A passion for high-quality delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and always learning what's next in the SAP space
