As a Lead or Associate Stormwater Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping sustainable and innovative water solutions alongside our talented team of civil engineers, modellers, digital designers, and project managers in one of our New Zealand offices.
Our projects span stormwater reticulation, low impact urban design, and land and transport infrastructure—both locally and across New Zealand and Australia. With increasing demand in major roading and transport projects, we're looking for someone who brings a holistic understanding of hydrology and stormwater drainage. Experience in these large-scale infrastructure projects, along with skills in low impact stormwater design and hydraulic modelling, will be highly valued.

What’s the mahi?
- Lead stormwater projects from master planning to detailed design and construction.
- Act as the key client contact, building strong and lasting relationships.
- Collaborate across disciplines to align with client goals, regulations, and best practice.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver quality outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
- Embrace digital tools to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Use your network to uncover new opportunities and grow the stormwater pipeline.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
- Help solve complex challenges in land development, transport, and flood management.
- 10–15 years’ experience (within a consultancy) with a degree in Civil, Environmental, or Natural Resources Engineering. A professional accreditation is desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, supported by an established network within the stormwater industry.
- Significant stormwater design experience and knowledge of modelling and GIS software.
- Knowledge of 12d Water Network Editor, Civil 3D Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), Hec-Ras, TuFlow, InfoWorks ICM, or other hydraulic modelling suite
- Knowledge of Civil 3D or 12d
- Strong understanding of New Zealand’s regulatory environment, including the Resource Management Act and Building Code
