Quantity Surveyor Manager

We are looking for a focused and driven Manager to lead our high performing quoting and detailing team.

We welcome applications from candidates who are qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyors with a passion for leading people, you will have industry knowledge and a proven track record in the construction industry.  

(An understanding of Soft-TechV6 Software package would be ideal but not essential)

Your day will consist of managing our awesome team of QS and Detailers/Job sheeters and their workflow, ensuring accuracy of project pricing and preparation of documentation, cost control and supplier and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities include:

• To ensure the department produces accurate schedule of quantities and cost estimates for all projects based on the information available at the time, ensuring the necessary details are considered to successfully deliver a profitable and efficient project to site. 
• Undertake quotes in accordance with project risk and value to ensure all foreseeable variables are accounted for. 
• Manage company and supplier pricing structures/pricelists to ensure that costings used are current and up to date, including key supplier relationship management. Ensure our costing / pricelists from these key suppliers give us competitive advantage in the marketplace.
• Manage capacity and resources accordingly. 
• Provide technical advice / training regarding process, product, services, suppliers, and tools of trade for the QS and JS team and customers.

Requirements

• Proven track record in people management
• Extremely high attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• The ability to work to deadlines
• Two years industry experience
• Strong computer & mathematical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyse problems
• Willingness to learn about new products / systems
• Good knowledge of aluminium joinery and glass

This is a permanent position and is 40 hours per week typically working between the hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
