NFVi DevOps Sr. Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations and QA Lead to drive the deployment, support, upgrade, and lifecycle management of complex cloud platforms for large telecom environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in OpenStack, OpenShift, NFVi, and strong proficiency in automation, scripting, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will also contribute to automated testing and service assurance, ensuring a robust and scalable telco cloud infrastructure.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Lead and manage end-to-end deployment, support, upgrade, and maintenance of Red Hat OpenStack and OpenShift environments.
• Design and deliver HLD/LLD documentation for Red Hat-based telecom cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting, particularly for:
• Advanced Cluster Manager (ACM)
• Advanced Cluster Security (ACS)
• Lead platform policy localization and automation efforts.
• Manage full environment lifecycle, including planning and execution of minor and major upgrades.
• Collaborate with architecture teams on NFVi design and integration, focusing on performance, availability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with QA and DevOps to implement automated regression testing using tools like Playwright or Tosca, alongside manual testing practices.
• Ensure network service assurance and stability through proactive monitoring and incident resolution
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

Must Have:

• 11+ years of total experience, including 4+ years in technical leadership roles
• Expertise in OpenStack, OpenShift, and Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment (CEE)
• Strong hands-on experience with NFVi platforms in telecom environments
• Advanced scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Ansible
• Proficient in designing and maintaining IaC pipelines
• Experience with automated and manual testing frameworks like Playwright, Tosca
• Understanding of Network Service Assurance processes and tools.
  
  

It will be good if you also had:

• Prior experience with Nokia CBIS/CBA.
• Exposure to ONAP (Open Network Automation Platform)
• Experience with OpenVMS
• Telecom core network integration and assurance background
