ENGCO is a rapidly growing engineering consultancy with over 50 staff in three office locations nationally: Christchurch, Nelson, Queenstown and Wanaka. ENGCO’s tight knit team includes chartered engineers, design engineers, CAD technicians, geotechnical engineers and outstanding support people!

ENGCO have a passion for providing expert advice in technically challenging projects and we want liked minded individuals to deliver these projects and grow with the business. Our civil engineering projects from $200million infrastructure to landscaping walls and domestic drainage.


This role involves:

  • Working with clients and contractors to achieve the required project outcomes.
  • Preparing reports, liaising with approving authorities and assisting clients with the consenting process.
  • Carrying out site inspections and construction supervision.
  • Overseeing and coaching the work of small integrated teams.
  • Co-ordinating project and technical delivery as required.
  • Business development and client management.
  • Understanding the NZ Engineering environment and local requirements.
  • (Requiring a minimum of 2 years' experience working in NZ in a similar position)


The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the areas listed above. Be able to demonstrate their communication skills and experience in effectively leading teams. It is a requirement that this is based on strong NZ experience and at least 7-10 years in Civil Design. Supported by an interest to develop ongoing relationships with Architects and Consultants. You may have acquired your CMEngNZ or be close to completion.
