About This Team
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and talented Consultant to join our Technology Strategy & Transformation team.
Our Technology Strategy and Transformation team (TS&T) at Deloitte works closely with business executives and digital/IT leaders to help them optimise their business technology landscape, set their technology strategy, and prepare their organisations for business transformation. We work across multiple industries and sectors to advise organisations on how they use technology for efficiency, effectiveness, and competitive advantage.
The TS&T Team Act As Strategic Advisors To New Zealand Businesses To Enable Them To Better Leverage Technology On Their Digital Transformation Journeys. Some Examples Of The Work We Do Are

We work across multiple industries and sectors to advise organisations on how they use technology for efficiency, effectiveness, and competitive advantage.
The TS&T Team Act As Strategic Advisors To New Zealand Businesses To Enable Them To Better Leverage Technology On Their Digital Transformation Journeys. Some Examples Of The Work We Do Are
- Designing technology strategies aligned to business outcomes for organisations
- Designing and implementing operating models for technology, transformation, and digital functions
- Completing requirements gathering activities for new business applications and/or capabilities
- Technology procurement and commercial management for new or existing business applications and platforms
- Enterprise architecture advisory including system rationalisation and scaling for future growth
- Designing and getting agreement on transformation programmes including business case development, delivery methodologies and strategies, and approaches to value realisation
You should have experience in most of the following areas:
- Technology strategy and roadmap development
- Reviews of technology and digital functions, possibly associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestments
- Business system Implementation scoping, design, and approval processes from idea through to business case approval and project delivery
- Technology operating model and organisation design
- Strategic sourcing and procurement of technology solutions (hardware and/or software)
- Enterprise architecture experience and the ability to provide strategic guidance on the current and future state of their technology landscape
- Managing advisory engagements/projects for clients including managing other resources (internal and client resources), budgets, scope, and deliverables
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- 3-5 years in consulting or professional services is advantageous, however, your ability to show how your experience is relevant to the experience listed above is most important
- A demonstrated history of working with senior stakeholders (e.g. Senior Leadership Team, Board, etc.) in an organisation to get alignment and agreement on technology priorities
- A good understanding of core technology and enterprise architecture concepts through practical experience and knowledge of technology trends, e.g., Mobility, Cloud, Digital etc.
- A strong understanding of how technology functions are structured and the services they provide (e.g. core IT operations, ITIL/ITSM concepts etc)
- Exposure to a range of enterprise technology systems and solutions (e.g. ERP/HRIS/FMIS/CRM/BI etc) as well as the current trends and changes occurring with these solutions
- The ability to confidently tackle ambiguous problems by structuring an approach in a logical flow with appropriate presentation and storytelling skills (e.g. the ability to generate and present at Steering Committees, Executive Teams and Boards)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders while building long-lasting and valuable relationships
- Experience designing, facilitating and translating outputs of workshops with broad stakeholder groups to get alignment and agreement on key decisions and investments
