Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind category strategies that respond to evolving customer needs and fuel business growth. You’ll work across beloved brands like Berger, British Paints, Spring, Performer, ITM Trade Series, and Porters Paints, turning insights into action and ideas into impact.

Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind category strategies that respond to evolving customer needs and fuel business growth. You’ll work across beloved brands like Berger, British Paints, Spring, Performer, ITM Trade Series, and Porters Paints, turning insights into action and ideas into impact.
In This Pivotal Role, You Will
- Leverage your expertise in category management to shape and implement strategic plans
- Translate data from multiple sources into actionable market insights and customer behaviour interpretations
- Develop and execute marketing, category and NPD plans for our iconic paint channel brands including Berger, British Paints, Spring, Performer, ITM Trade Series, and Porters Paints
- Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximise long-term sales and profitability while safeguarding brand integrity
- Develop and execute communication materials including collateral and advertising to achieve brand objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Drive NZ content for digital and social media channels, with the Digital and CRM Team and external agencies as required
- Provide category management to drive competitive advantage and clear propositions to customers and consumers
- Full ownership of projects through the NPD Gate Process, ensuring thorough project management for in full- and on-time delivery
- Drive competitive branded NPD product programs, promotional product programs, marketing & business development activities, marketing & range mix management & support market activity that drive measurable sales outcomes resulting in both consumer & customer loyalties
- Actively participate across sales, operations, customer service, and marketing teams

- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business Management / Marketing
- Proven track record in managing projects and use of project management tools
- Proven track record to manage or develop product / category with sound business acumen
- Successful track record of delivering commercial outcomes.
- Experience in delivering comprehensive multi-channel marketing plans with all aspects of the marketing mix.
- Experience in new product development.
- Ability to think strategically and develop winning category plans that deliver sustainable and long-term category growth.
- Ability to develop clear customer and consumer propositions, whilst delivering to target
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Working understanding of Project Management and Stage Gate Process desirable.
