Life & Investment Sales Adviser

As a Life and Investment Adviser the focus is to identify and acquire new to MAS members who are students and young professionals within our target market.

A considerable proportion of our target market will make up their mind about the financial services brands they'll choose before they even need them. We want MAS to be top of mind and the brand of choice when they require their first insurance policy or KiwiSaver account.

A Life & Investment Adviser plays a crucial role in providing guidance and support regarding investment and insurance-related matters and acts as a resource and advocate for potential MAS Members.

The role will have a 100% focus on acquisition of new business from new Members and cross selling to current members where a need is identified.

What a Day Might Look Like

• Proactively identifying, meeting with, and acquiring new Members
• Build relationships with identified student and young professional groups
• Participate in student events, demonstrating MAS brand values and contribution to student life
• Seek opportunities to present education/information sessions to students and young professionals, e.g., financial wellbeing semiars
• Attending social and networking events and promotions to represent MAS and enhance its reputation among existing Members and prospective new Members.
• Assessing prospective Members current financial situation and understanding their future financial goals to then be able to provide appropriate financial advice and solution recommendations
• Providing quality financial advice and product quotations to Members on MAS products and services.

What You'll Bring

• Holding a strong Member focus and alignment to MAS' purpose and commercial lens to activity
• Interpersonal savvy & strong relationship, communication and network skillsets - building professional relationship built on mutual trust and respect
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Basic knowledge of personal insurance products and KiwiSaver, Financial acumen, Ability to identify key partners and strong relationships
• 2 years of experience in a financial services or marketing/promotional role
• You will have an in-depth knowledge on MAS Life & Disability, Investment and General Insurance products along with a sound knowledge of the other MAS product and services together
• Completion of MAS Protect Accreditation equivalency programme
