Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of end-to-end payroll for employees and contractors across multiple business units. You'll be handling everything from data validation and payment schedules to legislative reporting and system improvements.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role suited to someone with strong New Zealand payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end weekly payroll for a multi-entity structure
- Prepare and reconcile payroll files, payslips, banking schedules, and PAYE returns
- Ensure compliance with all NZ employment legislation, including the Holidays Act
- Respond to internal and external queries, including from IRD, WINZ, and ACC
- Partner with People & Culture, Finance, and business managers on payroll-related matters
- Maintain and improve payroll accuracy, processes, and controls
- Deliver exceptional service and confidentiality to all stakeholders
- 3+ years' experience in payroll, including end-to-end processing
- Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and Holidays Act compliance
- Proven ability to manage payroll for a high-volume, multi-site workforce
- High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with managers, government agencies, and payroll providers
- Experience with leading payroll software and Microsoft Excel
