Stone Mason

Job Summary:

The Stone masons will specialize in the installation and finishing of marble wall surfaces, both for interior and exterior applications. You will work with precision tools to cut, shape, and lay natural stone, with a strong emphasis on aesthetic quality and structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and design of marble wall features.
• Measure and cut marble slabs or tiles using hand tools or power equipment to fit designated areas.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying adhesives or mortar as necessary.
• Lay and align marble pieces accurately to create smooth, uniform, and visually appealing wall surfaces.
• Apply finishing techniques such as polishing, grouting, and sealing to enhance durability and appearance.
• Operate cutting, grinding, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean and organized condition.
• Work closely with site supervisors, other tradespeople, and clients to ensure quality outcomes.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company standards on-site.

Requirements and Skills

• At least two years of relevant experience is required.
• Skilled in cutting, shaping, and installing marble and other natural stones.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and technical instructions.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy stone materials.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Understanding of relevant health and safety protocols.
