Our client is a well-established financial services organisation seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their dynamic New Zealand team. As the BDM, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships with mortgage advisers, aggregators, introducers, and other key stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong service standards, and promoting lending products that meet the needs of diverse borrowers.

About The Role
As the BDM, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships with mortgage advisers, aggregators, introducers, and other key stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong service standards, and promoting lending products that meet the needs of diverse borrowers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the adviser and aggregator networks.
- Grow the number of active advisers while supporting existing relationships with professionalism and integrity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet and exceed agreed portfolio growth, settlement, and conversion targets.
- Ensure adherence to responsible lending practices and compliance frameworks.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in home lending sales, ideally within third-party distribution.
- NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand's financial services regulatory environment.
- A track record of driving business growth and managing adviser relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
- A collaborative, adaptable mindset with a focus on service and results.
- A tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or related field.
- Experience in mortgage lending, funds management, or real estate.
