Reporting to the CTO, the Cloud Architect is a key member of our delivery team providing high-quality cloud solutions for our customers. This role will have a primary focus on AWS solutions, but experience in Microsoft Azure would be a bonus.

The role predominantly focuses on project delivery, but on occasion assistance in a pre-sales capacity will be required to support our sales staff to design and scope solutions.

Ideally, you will be based in Auckland, but we are open to candidates who work remotely from other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with the latest cloud platform services and developments, while actively pursuing and maintaining relevant certifications
  • Contribute to pre-sales efforts by identifying solution enhancements and advising customers on architectural options and trade-offs
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Prepare Statements of Work and pricing models that clearly define project scope, deliverables, and commercial terms
  • Lead professional services engagements end-to-end—from proof-of-concept to implementation—and participate in peer reviews and service development initiatives

Your Competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to technical pre-sales and hands-on AWS solution delivery
  • Comfortable engaging with software vendors or experienced in software architecture and development conversations
  • Solid experience deploying PaaS or serverless solutions, with strong knowledge of AWS services, landing zones, and well-architected frameworks
  • Certified or working toward certification in cloud architecture (AWS preferred).
