About The Role

As a Structural Engineer at BG&E, you'll be based in our Whangarei office and collaborate with experienced project managers and engineers to deliver cutting-edge design solutions across a diverse range of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design & Analysis: Assist in structural calculations, modeling, and detailed design using industry-standard tools like SPACEGAS.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, construction documentation, and specifications.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, site inspections, and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Professional Development: Support the Associate - Structures in day-to-day activities, gaining exposure to various facets of structural engineering.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from a New Zealand university.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite; experience with modeling tools like SPACEGAS is advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn and solve problems within a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A valid driver's license and the flexibility to undertake site visits and inspections.
