Distinction Hotels is proud to be launching our newest premium property – Distinction Invercargill Hotel, a sophisticated 150-room, 4.5-star hotel set to transform luxury hospitality in the South. As we prepare to open our doors, we’re seeking a high-calibre Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) to join the leadership team.

This is a key 2IC role, supporting the General Manager across all facets of operations, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage, and strategic support across the Rooms Division.

As Executive Assistant Manager, You Will

• Lead and oversee all daily hotel operations, maintaining the highest guest service standards.
• Drive excellence across F&B outlets including restaurant, bar, conferencing/events, and in-room dining.
• Collaborate closely with Rooms Division teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Inspire, develop, and support department heads and their teams.
• Uphold brand standards and support commercial performance targets.
• Act as GM in their absence and be a key voice in strategic planning.
  
  

What You Bring

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the hotel industry, with at least 3 years as a Food & Beverage Manager in a 4-star or higher property.
• Solid exposure to Rooms Division operations.
• Holds a General Manager’s Certificate (required).
• Permanent right to live and work in New Zealand – essential.
• Proven operational leadership, with a hands-on approach and a sharp eye for detail.
• Strong communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
