Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent, at least 30 hours work per week
Location: Various project sites in Auckland region

Position Summary:

The Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in commercial and residential settings. Building on two years of hands-on site experience, this role requires a practical, safety-conscious technician who can work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain split systems, ducted units, and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
• Assist with refrigerant handling and system testing
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
• Work safely and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and protocols
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

Required Skills & Attributes:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in construction or HVAC installation
• Strong understanding of air conditioning/refrigeration systems
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Physically fit and safety-focused
• Willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills
