Allproof Industries is a well-established Auckland based manufacturing and distribution company supplying the construction market with plumbing and drainage products. Allproof is seeking applications for this exciting opportunities based at our North Shore/Pokeno production facilities.

This is a permanent graveyard shift role with working hours amounting to a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week. These shifts will be up to five days a week, and shifts will be spread between, Sunday 11:30pm start, and Friday 7:30am finish. The pay rate is between $30 to $32 per hour, depending on the applicant’s working background. We are looking to fill up to four vacancies in this role.

We require an enthusiastic and reliable self-starter in our moulding/extrusion department at our factory in Beach Haven/Pokeno, Auckland. We have a friendly and supportive team culture and are looking for a team player.

Key Purpose: Setting up, adjusting and running moulding machines/extrusion lines, die insert/line changes, preventive maintenance, repairs to the plant equipment, and trouble shooting product defects to produce good quality products.


Key tasks include:

  • Die setting complex moulds on injection moulding machines
  • Mould insert/line changes
  • Preventive maintenance on moulds/machines/extrusion lines
  • Repairing equipment and fixing breakdowns on moulds/machines/extrusion lines
  • Machine setting, fine-tuning injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment
  • Updating machine/line operating settings
  • Setting extrusion lines/moulding machines/moulds for new product trials
  • Trouble shoot product line for product defects to produce good quality products
  • Conduct new material trials
  • Creating new machine set up sheets for new products
  • Training new machine setters
  • Calculating line run times/die change times at the start of the shift
  • Ability to perform, and thorough understanding of, high temperature stress relief test on uPVC fittings/daily quality tests on uPVC DWV pipes
  • Using appropriate measurement tools for dimensional checks on products
  • Granulating plastic runners/non-confirming products when required
  • Performing hourly quality control checks as required
  • Jobs as requested by management within the scope of the role
  • Filling in team leaders responsibility in his absence
  • Following company health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain safe working condition and practices during machine setting and repairs.

To succeed in this role, you will require the following attributes:

  • Plastics Technician knowledge
  • Self-motivated with Can-do attitude
  • Minimum 18 months uPVC Extrusion/Injection Moulding production experience
  • Knowledge on industry rules, Health and Safety regulatory standards
  • A team player with attention to details
