Plasterer

Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Plasterers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to internal and external walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential construction projects, including new house builds and foundation-related structures. The role requires precision, efficiency, and a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and clean surfaces for plastering by removing old plaster, filling holes and cracks, and applying bonding agents where needed.
• Mix plaster to the right consistency using hand tools or mixing machines.
• Apply coats of plaster using trowels, floats, brushes, and spray equipment.
• Smooth and finish surfaces to achieve an even and durable finish suitable for painting or other treatments.
• Work on a variety of surfaces, including block, concrete, and framed structures.
• Apply solid plaster to external foundation walls where required.
• Install and finish decorative plaster features such as cornices and ceiling roses if needed.
• Follow blueprints, site plans, and supervisor instructions accurately.
• Ensure work complies with building codes and site safety standards.
• Maintain tools and work areas in good condition.

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in using plastering tools and finishing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
