Te Tūranga i The Role
Are you an expert at juggling projects, optimising workflows and connecting dots across creative teams? As Creative Planner at Sky, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our in-house Creative Hub runs smoothly and delivers bold, brilliant work.
Reporting to the Head of Creative, you’ll work closely with our Creative Leads to scope, schedule, and allocate the team’s creative workload. You’ll champion the systems and processes that help us plan and deliver high-impact campaigns — including the setup and scheduling of on-air promotions using Sky’s IBMS system. This role blends creative understanding with strong backend operational coordination.
This is a fixed-term opportunity through to February 2026.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing the prioritisation, planning, and smooth delivery of all creative projects.
- Working collaboratively with teams across marketing, brand, product, content, and on-air to align creative efforts with business objectives.
- Partnering with content providers to ensure cohesive promotional activity across Sky’s customer touchpoints.
- Managing the backend scheduling and setup of on-air promotions in IBMS, ensuring accuracy and alignment with content plans.
- Owning Sky’s promotions strategy alongside Content Planning, Marketing, and the Media Planner.
- Keeping up with industry trends and championing best-practice planning approaches.

Essential
- At least 5 years’ experience in a creative or production planning role.
- Skilled in resource and workload planning tools, with a knack for workflow optimisation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- A sharp eye for detail, even in fast-paced environments.
- Natural problem-solver with strong prioritisation skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable picking up new software tools.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Familiarity with the media or entertainment industry, and a passion for great content.
- Understanding of Broadcasting Standards Authority (BSA) guidelines and compliance in a New Zealand broadcast context.
