The Role –

The primary function of the storeperson role is to coordinate the daily operations achieving key service levels around picking, packing, receipting and despatch, and other warehouse operations, whilst ensuring efficiency and working in a safety obsessed environment.

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday - 12:00pm - 10:00pm

Some of your responsibilities may include and not limited to:

  • Packing & un-packing air freight units and shipping containers.
  • Ensure when all cargo is received that all pallets are wrapped securely, labelled and placed in designated locations.
  • Loading and un-loading trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Ensure accurate freight is picked and packed in accordance with company KPI’s and ensure correct paperwork is completed.
  • Liaise with management, suppliers and customers with respect to distribution facility operations, including electronic correspondence.
  • Always adhere to site HSE rules and procedures, proactively identify safety risks and take immediate corrective action. Ensure safety incidents, near misses and hazards are logged and followed up.

Skills & Experience to be successful in the role -

  • Understanding of warehouse and/or freight forwarding operations.
  • Ability to use computer systems and RF scanners.
  • The ability to work in a team environment, as a team member.
  • Experienced, licenced and competent forklift (both counterbalance and high reach) operator.
  • Able to liaise effectively with management and fellow staff members.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Highly Self Motivated - Self-management - takes responsibility for tasks, agreed timeframes and outputs and attention to detail.
  • Flexible in approaches necessary to achieve the required outcomes.
