As a Consultant joining our Economics team, you'll embark on a journey where you'll work across a range of projects from policy development & implementation to more theoretical aspects like forecasting, modelling and consulting.

You’ll get to understand how big decisions impact things and learn to handle the tricky parts of making and rolling out policies and strategic decisions for New Zealand’s businesses across all sectors. You will be involved in presentations to government officials and private sector clients and events. You will also connect with Economists in New Zealand and across the global Deloitte network.

Job Description

Your typical day will include:

  • Modelling, including macroeconomic forecasting, Computable General Equilibrium modelling, Cost Benefit Analysis, Input-Output modelling, bespoke econometric regression
  • Researching and analysis to develop insight for the client
  • Development of presentation material and report writing
  • Supporting project teams to build strong client relationships
  • Collaborating with other teams to bring in insight from across all of Deloitte.
