About The Role

As the Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with our enterprise clients, supporting them with their payroll processing, system administration, and data validation. You will be working across payroll and time and attendance, alongside the client and being solution and outcome oriented.

Don’t worry, you do not need to know everything about every piece of software. However, experience with Ready Workforce (Zambion), SuccessFactors and/or Xero Payroll would be preferred.

Key Areas Of Responsibility Will Include

  • Accurately process payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Forming close relationships with various client stakeholders and truly understanding their business
  • Collaborate with the client to resolve payroll issues and improve payroll processing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and assist in audits when needed.
  • Interpreting legislation, policy and contracts and applying this to software systems
  • Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new payroll systems and technologies.

Skills And Experience

  • You will be passionate about finding and providing solutions and driven to find answers
  • Strong payroll processing experience is a necessity, and you have a good understanding of the NZ legislation and compliance
  • Ready Workforce (Zambion), SuccessFactors and/or Xero experience would be preferred
  • Always looking to try and improve/enhance processes and practices
  • High quality verbal and written communication with the ability to interact with stakeholders at any level
  • You are goal and outcome driven, confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently but also in a team environment
  • Taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality results within the deadlines and timeframes
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving payroll requirements
  • You like to be constantly learning and challenging yourself
  • Technically savvy, quick to learn new systems
  • Intermediate to advanced user of the MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience across multiple payroll systems would be an advantage
