Health & Safety Analyst - Insights and Engagement

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Analyst - Insights and Engagement to join our team and help lead the way in workplace safety.

Reporting directly to the Head of Safety and based at our Head Office, this newly created role offers the chance to shape the future of our Health & Safety practices. You'll be at the forefront of introducing new initiatives designed to elevate our safety standards through insight-driven learning and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data to generate insights that help the business understand and respond to H&S risks.
  • Lead the delivery of Enviro NZ's Worker Engagement Programme and support communication with H&S representatives across the business.
  • Collaborate with Regional H&S Advisors to design and disseminate safety communications that address relevant risks.
  • Develop and deliver safety learning initiatives, including inductions and micro-learning programmes.
  • Provide insights and analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual H&S reporting.
  • Optimise managers' use of H&S systems by supporting them with reporting, quality control, and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to improve H&S IT systems and processes, including building new functionality where needed.
  • Support the Head of H&S with coaching and engagement across regional H&S teams.

Your Experience And Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in a high-risk industry, with a proven track record of implementing measurable safety improvements.
  • A tertiary qualification in Safety, Communications, Human Factors, or Human Resources (preferred).
  • Experience in Internal Communications or Learning & Development (desired).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with H&S or business systems and using data to develop actionable insights.
