Section Administrator, Central Project Strategy and Delivery at Beca

At Beca, our Central Project Strategy and Delivery (PS&D) team is made up of 40+ technically skilled people across the lower North Island and Nelson region of New Zealand. Our team deliver Project Delivery, Programme Advisory, Cost Advisory, and Asset Advisory to a broad range of local and national clients predominantly focused on their infrastructure assets.

Together with our clients, we are tackling some of the most complex and impactful projects across the country, including critical infrastructure (including water), Schools, Hospitals, Airports, including iconic kiwi landmarks and community projects. Our projects range from small-scale through to some of the region’s most ambitious building, industrial and infrastructure schemes.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

In this role you will be working in partnership with the Manager for Central PS&D. You will be playing a key support role ensuring the Manager and broader team, are supported in the delivery of their projects, based in Beca’s Wellington office. You will be a key team member, being the ‘go to person’ for all things administration support related, enabling the team to do what they do best. This is an exciting and varied role, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow to become an integral member of the team and regional business.

Whether it be coordinating meetings, calendars, and events; welcoming and helping to onboard new team members; supporting project bids; learning and championing the technical systems and software tools relied on by the team – you will have your finger on the pulse of team activities, collaborating internally and externally to make things happen!

You will know the importance of follow up and can positively influence others when deadlines are imminent, reminding them what is needed, by when, why in a way that empowers them. You are comfortable working with both words and numbers. Your initiative and commitment to taking an active role in the culture and celebrations of the team will enable you to see the impact of the role you play supporting and enabling the team, as well as ensuring you also enjoy success as a key part of the team.

For success in this role, skills and experience in key systems and technologies will be important including Microsoft Office 365 (essential), SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Miro, Nitro and other graphic applications. Your ability to learn and become a subject matter expert in our systems will be a more important strength.
