We are looking for a diverse, heart driven individual to join our team who are dedicated to serving whānau in Ōtautahi.
Whitiora is an entity that drives positive outcomes for Ngāi Tūāhuriri in all forms and functions.
The Hāpori Kaitiaki will work alongside the Kā Au Kahuraki project team, Kaitiaki, ECE services, Whānau and community to co-construct community projects along with providing support for whānau returning to mahi. Programmes have a lived expression of the Te Whāriki principles and strands, in particular mana atua, wellbeing and mana whenua, belonging with the communities of East Christchurch. The mahi to be guided by the aspirations and challenges of whānau.

Our Ideal Candidate/s
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge of Te Ngāi Tūāhuriri and Ngāi Tahu Mātauranga, relationships and processes
- Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application to the work of Kā au Kahuraki
- Experience with working in the community
- A strong Awareness of the affinity for the needs and aspirations of Māori whānau
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation to achieve common goals.
