About The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will support the strategy, planning, and delivery of impactful and innovative data solutions across our business, playing a pivotal role in enabling us to hit our Gen35 goals through unlocking the power of data science. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on your own projects and will provide thought leadership in transforming our data science practices and support in implementing best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive data-driven decision-making and develop advanced analytics solutions through using tools such as LLMs and Gen-AI to support our Gen35 vision.

In this role you will;
- Manage data science projects of your own from ideation, design, to deployment and productionisation.
- Shaping our data science practice capability through mentoring the Data Science team in applying analytical techniques and conducting peer reviews.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to enhance the use of analytical capabilities for value management decisions.
- Plan and implement shared datasets and data integration for new business initiatives and features.
- Provide input to strategic data management and technology roadmaps to meet existing and future requirements.
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled individual passionate about designing, developing, testing, and deploying impactful and innovative data solutions.
Our ideal candidate will have;
- Extensive and proven experience in Data Science managing solutions from ideation through to productionisation.
- Exposure to advanced analytics including some or all statistical forecasting, predictive modelling, machine learning and Gen-AI.
- Skilled in coding languages such as Python or R.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure ML and Databricks.
- Ability to connect data insights to user needs and product opportunities, shaping solutions that deliver value.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching within a data science environment and operating as a champion and thought leader in best practices.
