3 experienced Tilers

We are seeking 3 experienced Tilers to join our team for ongoing and upcoming tiling projects across Auckland.

We offer 30–40 hours per week and pay rate from $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Inspect and measure work areas, calculate the required number of tiles, considering patterns and material waste
• • Clean and prepare walls and floors for tiling
• Remove existing tiles, grout, and cement to ready the area for new work.
• Repair and level uneven floors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• • Select appropriate tiles for each job, cut them to size and shape, and operate safely tools such as tile cutters and wet saws
• • Apply adhesive to tiles and surfaces, and ensure tiles are laid level and properly aligned
• • Fit tiles neatly at corners, edges, and fittings
• • Apply grout, clean excess grout, and seal tiles to protect against moisture and stains
• • Waterproof areas
• • Execute decorative tile patterns
• • Polish and finish tiled surfaces
• • Operate equipment, machinery, and tools safely and responsibly
• • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• • Ability to work independently or take charge of a project following the director’s instructions
• • Physically fit with good stamina for heavy lifting
• • Minimum of 2 years’ tiling or construction experience
• • Strong knowledge of different types of tiles and adhesives, and how to cut the tiles safely and effectively
• • Good communication, teamwork and detail oriented skills
• • Availability to work Monday to Saturday and on weekends if needed to meet project deadlines.
